BMG Research is pleased to have been commissioned by the Money Advice Service to undertake a pioneering research project on how children, young people and their parents think about money.

The aims of the project are to see if the Money Advice Service can understand:

  • How children and young people manage their money
  • What financial decisions children of different ages are able to make
  • How we can help families manage their money in the future

BMG’s experienced and professional researchers are looking to interview both parents and their children aged between 7 and 17, using face to face computer-assisted interviewing.  BMG interviewers will be interviewing in randomly selected locations from February 2016 through to the end of March 2016 and will be recruiting door-to-door for parents of these age groups. All selected households will have been notified by post in advance.

If your home has been chosen at random to take part in this project, and you and your child decide to participate, we will give you £5 of vouchers that can be used in a wide variety of retail and entertainment stores.

Please be aware that all information collected will be confidential and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act, BMG is a company partner of the Market Research Society (MRS) and follows their rules on code of conduct for all of our research projects.
