BMG is delighted to have been commissioned by the London Borough of Hounslow to undertake qualitative research to explore residents’ use of their waste and recycling service. The council offers one of the most comprehensive recycling services within London, giving residents who live in either houses or flats the option to recycle a wide range of items.

The purpose of this research is to explore resident’s views and attitudes towards waste and recycling services, gain insight into their perceptions on how these services may be improved, as well as exploring the most cost effective methods to reduce recycling costs in the borough.

BMG will conduct 10 focus groups with residents across ten different locations in West London including Hanworth, Feltham, Cranford, Hounslow, Heston, Osterley, Isleworth, Brentford, Chiswick and Bedfont.

The findings of this research will feed in to the council’s future plans for recycling services and provide insight into the improvements available to residents in the future.
