Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) commissioned BMG Research to undertake a study of the general public’s perceptions of their local Fire and Rescue Service across England.

The survey was undertaken in June and July 2018 and consisted of 17,976 completed surveys across 44 local Fire and Rescue Service areas.  The surveys covered the public’s views and experiences of local Fire and Rescue activities, including perceptions of image and reputation, representativeness, engagement with FRS and opinions on what the priorities of the FRS should be.

The results will be used to inform HMICFRS departmental strategy and inspection reports.

The report on the findings can be found here.

The questionnaire can be found here.
