BMG Research has an established track record of exploring the link between housing and health.
We are a key delivery partner in the GoWell project in Glasgow which has tracked the long term impact on health of the large scale regeneration of the housing stock within the city. More recently, we have completed baseline research on a social housing estate in Coventry, ahead of a programme of works which are designed to transform the condition of the housing stock and the surrounding public spaces.
In partnership with Whitefriars Housing Group and Coventry City Council, views were sought from tenants (via face to face interviews) on aspects of their physical and mental wellbeing, as well as how they view their homes. With a baseline dataset established from over 275 households, follow up surveys are planned once the extensive regeneration work has been completed to measure the health impact derived from the housing stock investment.
