The Consumer Council for Water (CC Water) is the independent voice for all water consumers across England and Wales and has been in operation since 2005. They have been tracking consumer’s attitudes towards water use and tap water for the last few years. This year BMG Research conducted the study amongst 4,169 people in England and Wales using an online methodology.

The aims of the research were to:

  • Identify awareness of the need to use water wisely and the measures consumers can (and are prepared to) use;
  • Identify consumer satisfaction with tap water and attitudes to drinking tap water.
  • Track comparisons over time; and
  • For the first time, establish how water is used in household recycling practices.
