We are pleased to announce that Dr Michael Turner and Babita Aytain have joined the company to expand and strengthen the research team. Michael joins BMG as Research Director, whilst Babita will take on a Senior Research Executive role. They arrive at an exciting time for BMG Research, which celebrates yet another successful year of research delivery and a change of premises, with the company headquarters moving to the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Michael brings with him an eclectic portfolio of research experience from academia, public and private sectors. Previous positions include Director of Political & Social Research at Survation, Assistant Methodologist at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and a Research Assistant at The Elections Centre, Plymouth University where Michael is an Honorary Research Fellow. Michael is also a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) where he is Secretary of the Official Statistics Section and is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society (MRS).
In a statement, Michael has said: “I am thrilled to be joining a company with such an established reputation and whose values I share wholeheartedly. It is clear that BMG is bursting with innovation and talent. The new HQ is crammed with the latest technology and has an ergonomic feel to it. Being right at the heart of the country, I feel we’re well placed to deliver for clients and I’m very much looking forward to working with such a dedicated and can-do team”.
Babita has nearly three years experience in research and consultancy, specialising in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Babita’s passion for research developed while studying for her masters in Strategic Marketing and Consulting at the University of Birmingham. Since then she has accumulated a wealth of expertise in the design and the implementation of a variety of quantitative and qualitative research projects. Babita was attracted to BMG’s ethos, values and the company’s rewarding client base and is excited about developing her career with such a reputable organisation even further.
Michael and Babita will be joined by a third new starter in June who will take on an additional Senior Research Executive role.
