NHS Brent is consulting in order to engage you at an early stage in developing two new outpatient care services in the community.

This consultation will run for just over 15 weeks from 2 April to 18 July 2012. It is being circulated widely to GP practices, patient groups, involvement groups, voluntary bodies and the wider public. The consultation document is purposefully brief but sets out the main issues in summary form.

The deadline for responses is Wednesday, 18 July 2012. This consultation will inform the development, purchasing and arrangement of two services in the community. As such, it runs alongside the development of the new services and reflects our aspiration to design the services in a way that will meet the needs of patients and respond to the views of the public.

We want to understand the needs of the community in Brent with regards to outpatient ophthalmology (disorders of the eyes) and cardiology (disorders of the heart) services. We are carrying out this consultation to help us shape the type of services that are offered to Brent patients. We would like patients to work with us to achieve greater impact and success.
