BMG has been commissioned by Renfrewshire Council and the Social Research Unit to carry out 400 interviews with parents of 0 to 8 year olds living in the local authority. Renfrewshire Council is doing this survey to get a broad picture of well-being of children aged 0-8 years across the area. The information will be used to identify the needs of Renfrewshire’s children and parents so that we can deliver the best services possible. |

The questions in the survey have been selected to provide a broad picture of the well-being of children in Renfrewshire focusing on the following areas;
The responses provided are combined with what other parents have said to build a broad picture indicating where, overall, children in the local authority are doing well, and where they are struggling or improvements need to be made. This data will be used to inform the development of services for children and families in the Local Authority. The survey sample aims to be representative of the population of 0 to 8 year olds and their families living in the Local Authority. Therefore the sample will be monitored by children’s age and their gender, their family’s social economic status and area where the child lives, for this purpose. We are very grateful for the time given by parents and carers in taking part in this important research. All survey participants will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two sets of £200 worth of high street shopping vouchers. If you have any questions regarding the survey please contact Ceri Matthias at BMG Research who will be more than happy to help you on 0121 333 6006 or call the BMG freephone helpline on 0800 358 0337 (office hours). |
