Evaluation of the Impact of Ofsted Schools Inspections (2010)

BMG has been commissioned to undertake a full evaluation of the new section 5 inspection framework for Ofsted (introduced from September 2009). The evaluation focuses on the impact of the new inspection framework on schools, through a survey of recently inspected primary, secondary and special schools as well as pupil referral units.

The evaluation also includes in-depth qualitative case studies with 30 schools, which will include exploring the views of headteachers, senior leadership teams, governors, teaching and support staff, pupils and their parentsBMG is pleased to be supported in this work by colleagues at the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER).
