CLG commissions BMG to undertake a mapping exercise for the Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund (PVEPF).

BMG recently completed a national mapping exercise of the Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund (PVEPF), on behalf of the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG). The information from this exercise will assist the CLG as they take forward their Preventing Violent Extremist work.

A project database containing information about the types of project activities undertaken, project beneficiaries and the contribution that the projects made to PVEPF priorities and the government’s wider counter terrorism strategy was developed, then distributed to over 70 local authorities and then collated by BMG. Our report analysed the database information, described the types of projects funded and any outcomes, including an examination of any regional differences. BMG also conducted a ‘rapid review’ of any local evaluation reports submitted to the research team at BMG (covering 36 different projects).
